Do you have a property business?
If so, how would you describe it?
Here are some of the words I love for describing my work:
Nourishing, rewarding, edifying, courageous, generous, curious, adventurous…
I love these words because they describe presence, rather than a means to an end.
When you have a property business – even a successful one – it’s easy for your business to become a means to an end. It’s easy to not be present on the journey. When really, right now, the journey is all we have.
Perhaps your ‘end’ is to build a legacy. To change your life. To live abroad. And that’s fine – I admire and approve of those goals. But remember too that the means is as important as the end.
The words we use shape how we understand ourselves, how we interpret the world, and how we treat the people around us. Pay attention to the words you use to describe your property business.
Are you in this as a means to an end? Or is there something else?
